Apl.de.Ap Launches Jeepney Music Record Label

Hollywood's "green and sustainable" ECCO ULTRA LOUNGE was the site for the launch of Apl.de.Ap’s new, revolutionary global record label JEEPNEY MUSIC on Tuesday, August 11th. This label was founded by Apl, a.k.a. Allan Pineda Lindo - the hip-hop musician, record producer, and member of the Grammy-Award winning group, The Black Eyed Peas - on the principle of giving back, both to his homeland of the Philippines and to the global community.

Jeepney Music is not just a music label; it is also a network and a living resource for the global music community. This label will feature not only emerging recording artists, but will also highlight the growing number of DJs and collaborative artists as Apl continues to build it up on the forefront of the digital transformation of music.

Jeepney Music is committed to combining unique sounds from around the globe, in order to create a fusion of music that amalgamates various cultures; and the label currently features artists from around the world including artists from Korea, South Africa, India, and of course, the Philippines. In an unprecedented act, Jeepney Music actually called on artists in the Los Angeles area to drop-off their music demos at the event, in order to inspire others to join and share their talents with the rest of the world.

Showing their full support to Apl’s new endeavor were fellow Black Eyed Peas Will.I.am, Taboo, and Fergie. Also in attendance were a host of other celebrity personalities, including Victor Kim, Hok, Andy Luo, Ryan Feng , Ryan Conferido, & Steve Terada of America's Best Dance Crew Season 3 winners Quest Crew, DJ Mia, The World’s Greatest Athlete Bryan Clay, former PussyCat Doll Carmit Bashar, Hip Hop artist Kid Cudi, Designer Gina Alexander, Actor Lou Diamond Phillips, Founder and CEO of VuQo Rich Cabael, RnB Singer Ryan Espe, Singer Asia Cruise, and DJ Rocky Rock.

In line with Jeepney Music’s environmental consciousness, ECCO ULTRA LOUNGE is one of the nation’s first eco-friendly, L.E.E.D. certified nightlife venues. ECCO features, among other things; state-of-the-art LED lighting, green energy resources, comprehensive recycling initiatives, ultra-low emission plumbing, and award-winning sounds provided by Turbosound. This Turbosound system was definitely tested that night by the host himself - when Apl took over the turntables for DJ Mia to mix for his party, while his guests enjoyed the night’s festivities from the dance floor.
