You are invited to watch Generations II - an exclusive one-night, 2-hour dance-musical led by Filipino-Americans in Illinois and Chicagoans of Filipino descent. It will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Maine East High School Auditorium in Park Ridge, Illinois – a suburb of Chicago.
Travel back in time and enjoy performances inspired by the era of three generations: Baby Boomers, and Generations X, Y and Z; including Philippine folk, Spanish-inspired and modern dances, group and solo songs, and guitar sessions.
140+ volunteers and aim to raise funds for charity, and to promote the Philippine culture. The Baby Boomers performances are reflective of popular trends in the post-war 40’s to 60’s, the Gen X numbers mirror the influence of 60’s to 80’s pop culture, while, Gen Y entertains the audience with the latest in Filipino-American mainstream. The upcoming show will also feature a special number by Gen Z (also called Internet Generation), the youngest group of cast members.
This event is produced by the Filipino Christian Community of Our Lady of Ransom (FCC-OLR) Church. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the event's beneficiary, Our Lady of Ransom Church in NIles, Illinois. Generations II is a reserved-seating event, so viewers are encouraged to purchase tickets early in order to get the best seats available.
