Loyalty

My loyalty has presevered,
but hardly ever revered,
because you are the one
who's made me come undone.

The promises I've never broken
only served as casual tokens
of convenience, notches of
accomplishment; never love.

Confessions said in vain,
yet my heart still sustains
emotions so complicated;
I loved you as much as hated.

It would be easier to say
that I could just walk away,
but the cycle drones on,
piercing my heart like claws.

No other words could be said
to mend what my heart has bled.
Into your traps, I fall even deeper,
enveloped by your pretty whispers.
