Six Taste is the largest and highest rated food tour company in Los Angeles, and offers walking food tours through some of LA’s most dynamic neighborhoods each week. USC Alumni Jeff Okita founded the company in 2009 to create an outlet for his passion for both LA and for good food. Six Taste works with over 100 of the best eateries in LA, offering 70+ private and public tours a month, as well as regularly hosting food and drink themed events.
BakitWhy.com had the privilege of partaking in one of Six Taste’s food tours last weekend. Upon discovering that they had partnered with some of the best restaurants and stores in Beverly Hills, I figured I needed to finally check it out. The tour took place along Canon Drive, known as Beverly Hills’ “Little Restaurant Row.” The tour lasted about 4 hours and explored restaurants such as Scarpetta, Bar Bouchon, The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills, Coupa Café, and the Montage Beverly Hills Lobby Lounge.
Our group also had the chance to receive a private behind-the-scenes kitchen tour of Bouchon by Thomas Keller. We tasted renowned favorites like Scarpetta’s Spaghetti, as well as unique treats like Spicy Maya Hot Chocolate at Coupa Cafe, Lamb Ribs and Truffle Popcorn from Bar Bouchon, many varieties of cheese at The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills, and finishing off with tea and pastries at the Montage.
Six Taste frequently provided specialty tours all around Los Angeles’ many diverse neighborhoods. Next month, they will be hosting a “Shamrocks and Green Shots” food tour. It will be a St. Patrick’s Day food and drink crawl in the Little Tokyo/Arts District on Friday, March 16th from 5:00pm – 10:00pm.
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day a night early with Six Taste! EAT, DRINK, and BE MERRY at this fun event, perfect for everyone who wants to get in the Irish spirit! The Six Taste Shamrocks and Green Shots Crawl begins at 5pm and lasts until 10pm on Friday, March 16th, 2012. The festivities will be in Little Tokyo and the Arts District neighborhoods in Downtown Los Angeles.

These places will be highlighting their specialties or will be creating custom-made dishes and drinks just for this event. St. Paddy’s Day revelers can imbibe on drinks such as Nola’s St. Paddy’s Green Sangria, Green Iced Plum Wine from Izakaya Fu-Ga, or green draft beers from Xlixe and District.
Crawl guests pick up maps at Café Dulce to gain access to exclusive "Green" specials from ten fantastic “eateries and drinkeries,” all within walking distance of each other. Since this is not a guided tour, guests can visit the restaurants in any order that they choose. Additional food and drink specials will be offered at each establishment. This is a fun and perfect way to get into the St. Paddy's Day spirit with all of your friends!
