"The Bachelor" on his Proposal to half-Filipina Catherine Giudici

Last Monday night, audiences reveled at The Bachelor Sean Lowe's proposal to ask for 26-year-old Catherine Ligaya Mejia Giudici's hand in marriage. Under the Thailand sunset in this season 17's finale of The Bachelor, Filipinos and Filipinas across the world were happy to see the handsome 29-year-old insurance-agent from Texas finally tie the knot with this Filipina beauty.

This has been a crazy journey,” Sean confided to the nervously-shaking Catherine, donned in a shimmery, gold gown. “I knew from the very beginning that you were someone I wanted to be around. I miss you every time I have to say goodbye. I don’t want to say goodbye anymore.

Lowe told ABC host Chris Harrison that he and Giudici plan to marry soon, in front of the public to see.

A marriage follows a proposal,” Lowe confessed. “We don’t have a date yet but we have decided that it would be cool since our relationship started and cultivated on a TV show we’ll have our wedding on a TV show. ABC will cover the wedding.”

"She's the light of my life. I feel so incredibly blessed," Lowe enamorously proclaimed, not afraid to hide his affection for Giudici.

ABC host Harrison believes that the couple's relationship is very genuine, saying, "I don't think we've ever had a couple in the ten or eleven years, come out of the gate so sincere, so serious and ready to take that next step."

Giudici herself also describes her experience on the show equally well, as she says it was very "surreal" and like her own "fairytale."

In an interview with People magazine, Lowe, as a conservative Christian and "born-again" virgin who has abstained from sex since college, recalls, "I probably should have spent more time on it, but honestly, I couldn't wait to get down on one knee and ask her to marry me!"

He continues, "From my perspective, I've lived life kind of selfishly for a long time. Now, I'm going to try to live it the way I know to be right."

He reveals that the two are going to wait until their wedding night to get physical.

Whether the jaw-dropping graphic-designer and blogger from Seattle and Dallas-based entrepreneur are truly in love, or if this is just a made-for-TV affection, perhaps only time will reveal. But one thing is for sure: We have a new couple to keep our eyes on!
